Rates and Fees
We provide cost-effective and competitive prices for our probate services, typically ranging from £1500 to £5,500 plus VAT for straightforward estate administration matters . Costs vary depending on the types of assets involved and what services are required. The hourly charge is usually £250 plus VAT but may vary in respect of unusual or more complex matters. Disbursements such as court fees are additional charges (the current probate fee is £300). In addition there is a value fee charged in line with Law Society guidelines which is 0.5% of the estate probate valuation. We will always provide an estimate for your approval beforehand. All Probate work is carried out by a solicitor of more than 40 years experience. Any conveyancing work that may be required during the administration would be quoted separately.
