We provide cost-effective and competitive prices for our probate services, typically ranging from £1500 to £5,500 plus VAT for straightforward estate administration matters . Costs vary depending on the types of assets involved and what services are required. The hourly charge is usually £280 plus VAT but may vary in respect of unusual or more complex matters. Disbursements such as court fees are additional charges (the current probate fee is £300). In addition there is a value fee charged in line with Law Society guidelines which is 0.5% of the estate’s gross probate valuation. We will always provide an estimate for your approval beforehand based on the anticipated complexity of the work involved. All Probate work is carried out by a solicitor of more than 40 years experience. Any conveyancing work that may be required during the administration would be quoted separately.
