Lasting Powers of Attorney
Lasting powers of attorney are designed to enable a specific family member, trusted friend, or adviser to assist you in making and carrying out important decisions and tasks, should you become less able to do so yourself. It is important that you do not put this off if you feel that you may want them as you may not be able to make them if you start to lose mental capacity. We will advise you on all aspects of assigning LPAs, as well as assisting you in making them.
Our charges for drawing up and registering an LPA are usually £450, plus VAT and Office of the Public Guardian fees for one person (currently £92 per LPA). If you and your partner are appointing the same attorney(s), we can usually carry out your partner’s LPA for an additional £300 + VAT. If needed we are able to attend a client at home, the additional cost would be £150 + VAT within the Redditch area. Feel free to call and discuss LPAs with us or contact us online.
